Three Lanes Racing P/L (TLR) is a company that was formed by the Papendieck, Entwistle and Quarrell families to support our joint and growing interest and investment in the thoroughbred industry. Three Lanes started out as just 3 good friends who enjoyed the races, a punt and a beer. Slowly, and with many other good friends and family becoming integrally involved along the way, our hobby grew and grew until it was necessary to turn it into a business - Three Lanes Pty Ltd.

Only ever buying fillies, Three Lanes is a business that wants to race winners (of course!) with the intention of those fillies going on to become excellent broodmares at the end of their racing career.

Three Lanes makes all the day to day decisions on the syndicates, receives and pays the accounts, maintains contact with the trainers and the shareholders, regularly inspects the horses whilst training and spelling, organises race day tickets and syndicate meetings if required and generally everything else as it comes up. When racing with Three Lanes you don't have to do anything other than enjoy the experience.

Paul Quarrell, one of the directors of Three Lanes Racing Pty Ltd, manages all of the Three Lanes syndicates. Paul has the experience of managing many syndicates before and has been involved in the thoroughbred industry as an owner for 15 years.

Trainers and Facilities

MELBOURNE
Our Melbourne horses are all trained by Peter Moody (www.moodyracing.com.au). Peter Moody is now firmly established as a leading trainer and is consistently in the top 5 on the Melbourne trainers' list and top 10 on the national list, In 2003/2004 he trained some 125 winners and won the Victorian Country Trainers Premiership and finished second on the Melbourne Premiership and in season 2004/2005 he finished second on the Victorian Country Trainers Premiership again training over 100 winners for the season.

SYDNEY
Our Sydney horses are trained by Greg Hickman (www.hickmanracing.com.au). Greg Hickman has been well described as one of Australia's quintessential horse trainers. He is a man who genuinely loves horses. He is passionate about winning. He's fanatical about his work. And is a man who is truly delighted when his owners want to be intimately involved with what their thoroughbreds are doing and how they are progressing. Greg has trained quality Group 1 horses such as Sportsman and Sir Dex.

In addition to trainers in both Melbourne and Sydney we have established a trusted network of breakers, per-trainers and agistment facilities in both cities.
